How to Configure Proxy Settings on Windows 10 (Step-by-Step)
To change and configure proxy settings on Windows 10, follow these steps:
Press the
Win + Rkey combination on your keyboard.
In the Run window that appears, type:inetcpl.cpl
Then click OK.
In the Internet Properties window, open the Connections tab. Click the LAN settings button.
In the Local Area Network (LAN) Settings window:
Check the box Use a proxy server for your LAN.
Click Advanced if you need to configure specific protocols.
Enter your proxy details:
In the Address field, type the proxy server IP address.
In the Port field, enter the port number.
If required, check Use the same proxy server for all protocols.
If you need to exclude certain websites from using the proxy, add them to the Exceptions field.
Click OK, then Apply, and OK again to save the changes. Your proxy setup on Windows 10 is now complete!
How to Disable Proxy Settings in Windows 10
Press Win + R, type:
inetcpl.cpl
and click OK.
In the Internet Properties window, open the Connections tab.
Click LAN settings.
In the Local Area Network (LAN) Settings window:
Uncheck Use a proxy server for your LAN.
Uncheck Bypass proxy server for local addresses.
Click OK, then Apply, and OK again to confirm.
Done! The proxy has been successfully disabled on Windows 10.
